Marc Porter, PhD

Marc Porter, PhD, both edited Creating Partnerships: Unleashing Collaborative Power in the Workplace, and contributed the section in chapter 3 titled “Powerful Partnerships in the Common Ground.”

He has been facilitating leadership programs, strategy sessions, and organizational development initiatives for over 20 years. He has managed academic business graduate programs and directed worldwide executive development for a non-profit organization. He holds a doctorate in Organizational Communication from Ohio University, where he also developed the earliest version of the Common Ground Model. His work has included examining the ethics of consulting and improving multicultural diversity and inclusion initiatives. Like Cynthia King, his approach to teaching, leading, and partnering is fundamentally maieutic. He lives in Northern California.
